Matar Paneer is a very famous vegetarian dish which is made in Indian homes and eaten with great fondness. This dish is also often seen in weddings and feasts. It is eaten with roti, chapati and naan.

Let’s see Matar Paneer recipe –

 

 

 

Put oil in a pan or kadhai and fry the chopped onions for 2 to 3 minutes. After that add tomatoes, green chillies and cook for 3 to 4 minutes while stirring. After it cools down, grind it in a mixer grinder .

 

 

 

Put oil in the cooker and add cumin seeds, add grinded onion and tomato paste and fry for 4 to 5 minutes on a low flame. In a separate bowl, add water to red chilli powder, salt, turmeric, coriander powder and ginger garlic paste and mix it. Put this masala also in the cooker and fry it well.

 

 

 

After frying for 8 to 10 minutes, add peas and 2 tablespoons of water, mix well and let it whistle 2 to 3 times (whistle till the peas melt).

 

 

 

 

Open the cooker and check the peas, once they are melted, add paneer, add as much water as you want for gravy, cook on full flame for 2 to 3 minutes , add green coriander and serve.

  • Paneer 200 gms
  • Peas 250 gms
  • Onion 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Green chillies 2 to 3
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Oil
