Dal Fry
When it comes to Indian food, the first thing that comes to mind is Dal Fry , Dal is the easiest dish to make, we can make it in many ways.
Let’s see how to make Dal Fry:
Wash the lentils thoroughly, add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, turmeric in a bowl and mix them all by adding a little water.
Heat a little oil in the cooker, add the spices and fry till the tomatoes are soft, when the spices are well roasted, add the pulses and pour water till the top of the pulses, close the cooker and let it take 2 whistles, after the second whistle, turn off the cooker. Open it and see when the air is released.
Dal melts in 2 whistles, if the dal and water do not look the same, then cook the dal for a few more minutes, if you want, add chaat fruit masala (this is optional), this increases the test of the dal.
Take desi ghee in a pan, add cumin, chopped onion and dry red chili and fry it, when the color of onion and chili changes, add the tempering to the lentils. Serve by adding green coriander.

- Lentils 200 grams
- Tomato 2 normal size
- turmeric half teaspoon
- Coriander powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp
- salt as per taste
- Oil
for Tadka
- half an onion
- dry red chili 4 to 5
- cumin half teaspoon
- desi ghee or oil
