Aloo Ka Bharta
Aloo Ka Bharta is a very easy dish to prepare. In this, boiled potatoes are mashed and cooked with tomatoes, mustard and spices. It tastes delicious with rice and roti. Boil the potatoes, when they cool down, peel them and mash them. Grind dry red chilli, tomato, ginger, garlic and cumin all coarsely.
Add salt and turmeric to coarse spices. Heat mustard oil in a pan and let it cool for a few minutes. By doing this the mustard oil does not smell. Turn on the gas again. When the oil gets hot, add mustard seeds. When the grains crackle, add chopped onion and stir for some time. | Now add spices and stir.
After frying the spices, add potatoes and finely chopped green chillies, stir well, do not add water, cook on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes, finally add green coriander.

- Potato 500 grams
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Onion 1 large
- Tomato 2
- Dry red chillies 5 to 6 (more or less as per your choice)
- ginger ale
- Garlic 5 to 6 cloves
- cumin 1/2 tsp
- salt as per taste
- turmeric 1/4 tsp
- Green chillies 2 to 3 (thick)
- mustard oil
