Paneer Kofta Curry

Paneer Kofta Curry is a Punjabi dish. This recipe is divided into two parts. First, Paneer Kofta are prepared. Second, its gravy is made. Then koftas are added to the gravy and cooked for a few minutes. Add cream and green coriander on top and serve. It is not very difficult to make this dish but it is very tasty to eat. Paneer Kofta Curry is considered a special dish for those who do not eat non-veg.

Cut the onion and tomato thickly, peel the ginger and garlic, take 8 to 10 cashew nuts, fry them all in a fry pan with n tablespoon of oil. First put onion in the fry pan, after 1 minute add tomato and ginger garlic and stir. Lastly add cashew nuts and fry for 3 to 4 minutes.

 

 

 

When it cools down, make a paste in the mixer grinder , take oil in the pan, add cumin seeds and add the ground paste, fry on low flame for a few minutes, add salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder (if Kashmiri red chilli powder is not available then do not add it), red chilli powder, Add turmeric and coriander powder and fry on low flame. When oil appears, add one tablespoon water and paneer koftas.

 

 

 

Add boiled potatoes, (crushed pumpkin) gram flour, salt, finely chopped green chillies, finely chopped coriander, red chilli powder and turmeric to the paneer and mix it all well. Now make koftas in this mixer. When the oil is hot in the pan , put the koftas one by one and take them out when they become light brown.

Once the spices are roasted well, add water. When it boils, add garam masala and koftas, cook for 2 minutes, add green coriander and fresh cream and serve.

For Kofta –

  • Paneer 200 grams
  • Boiled Potato 1 (grated pumpkin)
  • Gram flour 2 to 3 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • finely chopped green chillies 2
  • finely chopped coriander
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

For spices –

  • onion 2
  • Tomato 2
  • ginger 1 inch piece
  • 10 to 12 cloves of garlic
  • Cashews 8 to 10
  • salt as per taste
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • cumin 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • garam masala 1 tsp
  • Oil
