Chicken Biryani Recipe: This biryani is made in a very easy way without boiling yakhni. The biryani made with this recipe is ready very quickly and is tasty.

When the oil in the pan is slightly hot, add onion and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes till it becomes soft (onion should not be made light brown or pink brown).

Add curd, ginger garlic paste, some spices like cumin, cloves, red flowers, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper and salt to the onion, mix it and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now add washed chicken and green chillies (thickly chopped green chillies) and mix.

Add water and rice (soak basmati rice 2 hours before) keep the water above the rice, when it boils, taste the salt, if it seems less then add it.

When the water remains 20%, take water in a small bowl, mix kewda and food color in it and pour it over the rice, add pickle masala also, cover it well and reduce the flame of the gas for 10 minutes.

Ingredients –

  • Rice 500 grams
  • Chicken 500 grams
  • Onions 2 medium
  • 200 grams of curd
  • Ginger garlic paste 3 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Pool 2
  • 4 to 5 cloves
  • Black pepper 6 to 7
  • 4 to 5 small cardamoms
  • 2 inch piece of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • Green chillies 3 to 4
  • Food color 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kewra 2 tsp
  • Pickle 2 tsp (Biryani pickle)
  • Oil
