Chicken Garlic Roast

Chicken Garlic Roast  is a very tasty Norwegian dish. It is dry, hence it is served as a starter, but it tastes very tasty when eaten with chapatti and roti. It is not very difficult to make it. In this recipe, garlic is used with spices. More water is used and the chicken is marinated first.

Grind black pepper, cumin, coriander, cloves and cardamom in a mixer grinder .

 

 

 

Once the coarse spices are ground , add the garlic clove and grind it coarsely (grind the garlic without peeling it and clean it by cutting off the edges of the garlic).

 

 

 

Clean the chicken, wash it thoroughly, add ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice to the chicken and marinate it for half an hour. When the oil is hot in the pan , add finely chopped onions and fry until light brown.

 

 

 

When onion turns light brown, add marinated chicken and stir well. Do not add water. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 to 12 minutes. Keep stirring in between. Now add ground spices, salt, red chili powder, half lemon and curry leaves. Add and mix well, check the chicken once it gets cooked, add green coriander and serve.

Chicken Marinate –

  • Chicken 600 grams
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Turmeric
  • half a lemon
  • salt as per taste

coarse masala –

  • Whole coriander 1 tablespoon
  • cumin 1 tsp
  • black pepper 1 tsp
  • cloves 4 to 5
  • cardamom 5
  • Garlic cloves 24 to 25
  • salt as per taste
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp

curry leaves

  • oinion 2
  • Oil
  • green coriander
  • juice of half a lemon
