Chole Bhature

Popular throughout India, Chole Bhature is a punjabi dish that is enjoyed not just in punjab. It is a well-known North Indian street meal.
It can be had as a full meal at any time of the day. Chole bhature is prepared in various ways throughout the world. Many people enjoy eating rice with chole in addition to eating kulcha, bhature, and other similar foods in various places.

Let’s see Chole Bhature Recipe

Soak the chickpeas overnight, if you have less time, do not have time to soak for that long, then after 2 to 3 hours,cover the chickpeas in hot water and add a pinch of salt, soda and leaf water to the chickpeas or Tie a leaf in a cloth and pour water over the chickpeas and whistle, after one whistle, reduce the flame of the cooker, let it cook on a low flame for 12 to 15 minutes, after the gas comes out, open the cooker and check if the chickpeas. If it is not soft enough, then cook it for a few more minutes.

 

 

 

Heat oil in a bowl and put whole spices, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, black cardamom, mace and fenugreek seeds in the oil. Add grated onion and fry on a low flame, when the onion becomes light pimk, add grated tomato and fry for 3 to 4 minutes.

 

 

 

Add turmeric, salt, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, chickpea masala, chaat fruit masala, red chili powder and roast on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes. On leaving add boiled chickpeas and cook for some time .

Chole Bhature Ingredients

  • Chickpeas 500 grams
  • Onion crushed 5 (crushed)
  • Tomato 5 (crushed) Bay leaves 2 big or (4 to 5 small)
  • Cinnamon 2 cloves 8 to 10 small
  • cardamom 5 to 6 large
  • cardamom 2 mace 1
  • Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp salt as per taste
  • Turmeric ½ tsp Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Chole masala 4 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 3 tsp Coriander powder 3 tsp
  • Chaat fruit masala 1 tsp Kasoori Methi 1 tsp

Let’s see how to make Bhature –

 

 

 

First mix all the flour, sugar, salt, backing powder, eno, curd oil well and add water little by little and keep kneading the dough.

 

 

 

Knead the dough 1 to 1 ½ hours before making the bhaturas so that the bhaturas become soft and Phule .If you want, you can also add wheat flour to the flour.

According to your wish, take Bhature Bell in round or long shape as you like.

  • Curd 100 grams
  • salt as per taste
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Baking powder ¼ tsp
  • pinch of eno
  • oil 7 to 8 spoons Water
