Dahi Phulki
Dahi Phulki is specially made during the month of Ramzan in the summer season. By the way, it can be prepared and eaten at any time, it increases the taste of food many times. Plain curd and raita are always included in Indian food.
this is preferred to be eaten with vegetables, parathas and biryani. There is a very similar dish, but it takes a long time to make Dahi Balle, but Dahi Phulki is made very easily and quickly. Gram flour is used, so it is also known as gram flour curd phulki.
Let’s see how to make dahi phulki – Recipe –
Make a paste by adding finely chopped onion, salt, red chili powder, baking soda, finely chopped green chilies and cumin seeds to gram flour.
Make a paste and test it, if it seems less then add chili salt according to your test.
When the oil is hot, put the phulkis in the pan, take care that there are no lumps in the phulkis, when it cools, put the phulkis in water and squeeze them lightly, do not leave them in the water for a long time. By doing this, phulkia will remain soft and will taste good to eat.
Add some milk, salt, red chili powder, roasted crushed cumin seeds to the curd and mix it. If it seems too thick, then add some water and add phulkia. Take a small spoon of oil in the fry pan and put the cumin seeds in the curd flowers when they turn dark in color.
dahi phulki – Ingredient-
for phulki
- Gram flour 250 grams
- Red chili powder ½ tsp
- salt as per taste
- Cumin ½ tsp
- baking soda ¼ tsp
- 1 finely chopped onion
- Green chilies 2 (thick)
- oil (for frying)
for Dahi
- Curd 500 grams
- milk 100 grams
- salt as per taste
- Red chili powder ½ tsp
- Roasted cumin seeds ½ tsp
- Cumin seeds ½ tsp for tempering
- 1 tsp oil
