Add Rice
Dal Chawal is an Indian dish. When we don’t understand what to make today, the first thought that comes to our mind is to prepare this dish and it gets ready quickly. Along with rice, we make different types of dal. But today we will make mixed dal of moong and malka which can be prepared with just a few spices available at home.
Let’s see Dal Chawal recipe –
Heat oil in a cooker , add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin, coriander powder, all these spices, add some water and fry on low flame.
Mix Malka dal and Moong dal and wash them. After the masala is roasted, add the dal in it, pour water till it covers the dal and close the lid of the cooker and cook for 2 whistles. Open the lid once the gas comes out of the cooker. If the dal requires water, add some water and chaat fruit masala to the dal.
Take desi ghee in a fry pan, add onion and dry red chillies and fry until light brown. After turning off the gas, add cumin seeds and add this seasoning to the dal.

Dal Rice Ingredients –
- Moong dal 100 grams
- Malka Dal 100 grams
- Tomato 2
- dried red chilli 1 tsp
- coriander powder 2 tsp
- turmeric 1/4 tsp
- cumin 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Chaat fruit masala 1 tsp
For tempering –
- desi ghee or oil
- Onion 1 small
- Dry red chilli 3 to 4
- cumin 1/2 tsp
