Dahlia Recipe –

Dalia Recipe  is made in many ways, everyone has their own way of making it, some people like to make it sweet, some people make it salty, but we have made it by adding pulses and rice along with it, which is very tasty to eat. It looks delicious and is also very easy to make.

Clean rice, malka dal and wheat porridge and soak it for 15 to 20 minutes, if you have time, otherwise wash and prepare it like this.

 

 

 

Take oil in the cooker, add cumin seeds in it, when it crackles, add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder with one tablespoon of water in the cooker and stir well, reduce the flame of the gas and Fry the spices.

 

 

 

After roasting the masala, add soaked rice, dal and porridge , add water, pour water till the top of the porridge and close the cooker. After 1 whistle, reduce the flame of the gas and cook for 4 to 5 whistles, after the gas from the cooker goes out. Open it and check, if there is less water then add it and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes, add chaat fruit masala and mix well.

 

 

 

Take desi ghee or oil (whichever you prefer) in a fry pan and brown the chopped onions. When the onions turn brown, add cumin seeds.

 

 

 

Now add this tempering to the porridge, add green coriander and add finely chopped onions and curd on top and enjoy the porridge.

  • Dalia 200 grams
  • rice 100 grams
  • Malka Dal 100 grams
  • Tomato 2
  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat Fruit Masala 1 tsp
  • Onion halved (for frying)
  • Cumin 1 tsp (1/2 tsp for frying with 1/2 tsp spice)
  • ghee or oil
  • Curd
  • Finely chopped onions (for putting on porridge)
  • green coriander
