 Meethe Chawal(Sweet Rice)

If you want to make something new in sweets then try this easy recipe of Meethe Chawal (Sweet Rice) which is made from khoya. This is a famous dish of Rajasthan. It is very tasty. The same amount of khoya is added as there is rice in it, that is, khoya and rice are added equally. Due to which this rice is brown in color and hence the taste of this dish is very different. You must try this recipe once. After making it once, you will make it again and again.

Let’s see the recipe of sweet rice (Meethe Chawal) –

 

 

 

Brown the khoya on low flame while stirring on low flame, otherwise the khoya will burn. Soak the Basmati rice one hour before. Add some salt to the rice and boil it. Add sugar and half cup of water in the desi ghee. Melt it. When the sugar dissolves, add boiled rice, drain the water on full flame and keep stirring gently so that the rice does not burn from below.

 

 

If 10% water remains, pour fried khoya over the rice and keep it on low flame for 7 to 8 minutes. Now open the lid and mix the khoya and rice. Break the khoya gently with a spoon. Serve after adding fried fruits, dry fruits are an option, if you want then even if you don’t add them, this rice will be very tasty.

Sweet Rice (Meethe Chawal) Ingredient –

  • Basmati rice 500 grams
  • Khoya 500 grams
  • Sugar 500 grams
  • Desi ghee 1 tbsp
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • Dry fruits (as per choice)
