Mix Dal
Mix Dal most of the Indian people use pulses in their daily food, but different places have their own way of cooking pulses, but one similarity is that the pulses are prepared very quickly and easily. Mix Dal is healthy and full of protein. Because it has five different pulses, pulses are a comfort food option in Indian food whether you are sick or normal routine or any other celebration but the food of our Indian people is incomplete without pulses.
Let’s see how to make Mix Dal –
Toor dal, chana dal, moong dal, urad dal and whole masoor dal, soak all these pulses half an hour before.
Put the soaked pulses in the cooker, add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, coriander powder, salt, red chili powder and chaat fruit masala, add all these spices and pour water till the top of the pulses and whistle. Lower the flame and let it cook for 2 more whistles, when the gas comes out of the cooker, check if there is a decrease in the lentils, then cook for a few more minutes.
Take ghee or oil, chopped onion, cumin, dry red chili, 8 to 10 garlic buds and asafoetida for tempering.
Put whole red chili in oil or desi ghee, add cumin, garlic and asafoetida, add onion and brown it, put this tempering in the lentils.
Your tasty mix is ready and serve after adding dal and coriander.
Mix Dal Ingredient-
- Toor Dal 50 grams
- Chana dal 50 grams
- Urad Dal 50 grams
- Whole masoor dal 50 grams
- Moong Dal 50 grams
- tomato 2
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
- salt as per taste
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Chaat fruit masala 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- green chili chopped
for Tadka
- oil or ghee
- Whole red chilies 4 to 5
- One normal sized onion
- cumin half teaspoon
- ¼ tsp asafoetida
- 8 to 10 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- green coriander
