Poha Recipe is an Indian breakfast which is made of flat rice, peanuts, potatoes and spices. When you do not feel like cooking, then you can make this recipe and enjoy it because it is very easy to make.

When you feel hungry, you can satisfy your hunger by making this recipe instantly. While going on a journey, prepare this recipe and take it with you so that you can avoid tasteless food and snacks there. Sugar is also added in this recipe, but only the one who adds it knows it, the eater does not know about it because sugar is added in very small quantity only for flavor, this further increases the taste.

Fry the peanuts in some oil, peel the potatoes and cut them thinly.

 

 

 

 

When the oil is hot in the pan, add mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds crackle, add finely chopped potatoes. Melt the potatoes while stirring on low flame. Add one tablespoon water if needed. When the potatoes are 80% melted, add salt, sugar, turmeric and chopped green chillies and let it cook on low flame while stirring for 2 to 3 minutes.

 

 

 

Put the poha in a strainer and wash it so that all the water from the poha gets removed. Add the poha and peanuts to the potatoes and spices and mix well.

 

 

 

Add lemon juice before serving, adding lemon juice doubles the taste of this recipe.

  • Poha 2 cups
  • Peanuts 1/2 cup
  • Potato 1
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Green chilli 3 to 4
  • lemon 1
  • Oil
