Mustard Green Saag Recipe –
Clean mustard leaves, spinach leaves and bathwa leaves, then wash them and cho the finely. Put finely chopped leaves, peeled garlic cloves, chopped ginger, green chillies, salt and one tablespoon water in the cooker and let it whistle. After one whistle, let it cook for 10 to 12 minutes on a low flame.
After the gas of the cooker is released, keep churning the greens with a churner on a low flame. Cook on a low flame for at least half an hour. Stir the greens while churning them at times. In a small bowl, make a paste by mixing 2 tsp corn flour with water. Now pour this paste into the greens and mix it well.
Churn the greens using a churner to make them uniform. In a pan or frying pan, add asafoetida, finely chopped onion, dry red chilli and finely chopped garlic in desi ghee and fry them till they are light brown.
Add greens to this tadka and mix it.
Sarso ka Saag Recipe
Ingredient –
- Mustard greens 1kg
- Spinach 250 gms
- Bathwa 250 gms
- Garlic buds 8 to 10
- Maize flour 2 tsp
- Ginger 1 inch piece (finely chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Green chillies 5 to 6
For the tempering-
- Desi Ghee
- Finely chopped onion 1 medium
- 10 to 12 cloves finely chopped garlic
- Dried red chillies 4 to 5
