Sheer Khurma
Sheer Khurma Recipeis the name of such a dish without which Eid is incomplete. Actually this dish can be made any time like in a party, when guests come or whenever you feel like eating something sweet, but on the occasion of Eid this dish is made in everyone’s homes and when people visit each other’s houses on Eid, Sheer Khurma is definitely kept in front of them. People make it in different ways but this recipe made by us is different in which we have used only fried almonds in khoya, dry milk and dry fruits .
Let’s see the Sheer Khurma recipe –
Keep the milk on full flame till it comes to a boil. After boiling, reduce the flame and keep stirring so that the milk does not spill over.
Soak the almonds for an hour, peel them and chop them into long pieces. Fry them in a pan with ghee till they turn light pink.
Take desi ghee in a pan and fry khoya on low flame. Do not make the colour dark otherwise the taste of the sheer will change.
After keeping the milk on low flame for an hour, add dry milk , vermicelli and sugar and keep stirring for 10 to 15 minutes. If the milk does not thicken then let it cook for some more time.
Finally add fried almonds and mix.
Delicious Sheer Khurma is ready.
Ingredient –
- Milk 2kg
- Khoya 50 gms
- Dry milk 100 gms
- 100 gms sugar or as per taste
- Savaiya 2 tsp (finely ground by hand)
- Almonds 100 gms
- Desi Ghee 1 tsp ( 1/2 tsp almond + 1/2 tsp khoya )
