Thepla Recipe
Thepla Recipe means favorite food of Gujaratis but people from all over India like to eat this. It is usually eaten in breakfast, some people like to eat it in the afternoon with curd and pickle. If there is a program to go out, thepla is also very useful for tiffin box. It is also a favorite snack of children. It is also considered beneficial along with the test.
Let’s see how to make Thepla Recipe –
Add turmeric, salt, cumin, sesame, red chili powder, coriander powder, carom seeds, ginger garlic paste, sugar and garam masala to the flour.
Put fenugreek and oil also in the flour, adding oil makes theplas soft.
After adding fenugreek, spices and oil, mash the flour well by hand, mix everything well, mix it well and add water little by little, knead the dough and keep it covered for a while.
Small or big, whatever size you want to make, make dough ball of the same size, roll it like a roti and apply oil or ghee.
Tasty food is ready, you can eat it with pickle, with curd or with chutney as you like.
Thepla Recipe Ingredients –
- Flour 400 grams
- Sesame seeds 1 ½ tsp
- salt as per taste
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- sugar 2 tsp
- Ajwain ½ tsp
- Cumin ½ tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Oil 10 to 12 tsp
- Fenugreek 100 grams or Kasuri Methi
- garam masala ½ tsp
- Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
