Patta Gobi Ki Sabji
Patta Gobhi ki Sabji which is made with very less spices, in this recipe cabbage, potatoes, capsicum and some pickled spices are added, whose taste is very tasty and it is also very easy to make.
Let us see how to make Patta Gobhi ki Sabji –
Cut the cabbage into small pieces, also chop the capsicum and potatoes.
The spices for pickled cabbage include coriander, fennel, whole red chilli, cumin, nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds. In another bowl, add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and cumin powder and now make a paste of these spices.
Heat mustard oil in an iron pan and turn off the gas for some time, i.e. let the oil cool down a bit (doing this prevents the smell of mustard oil). After cooling for a few minutes, heat the oil again and add whole red chillies. Lower the flame of the gas and as soon as the color of the chilli starts changing, temper the remaining dry spices, add the spice paste and roast for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame .
Now add potatoes and cook for 2 minutes and add capsicum and mix well.
Now add the cabbage. If the cabbage does not come all at once, add it little by little. Due to steaming, the cabbage will settle down and the remaining cabbage will also settle down.
Add chopped green chillies. Add some water, cover the lid and cook on low flame. Keep stirring occasionally so that the vegetables do not burn. Turn off the gas once it gets cooked properly.
