Chicken Tikka Masala
The name Chicken Tikka Masala makes one’s mouth water. This is a favourite dish of non-vegetarians. In this, the chicken is marinated separately and then fried and the masala is fried and mixed, which doubles its taste.
Let’s see the Chicken Tikka Masala recipe –
Wash the chicken and add curd, salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, roasted crushed cumin, garam masala and lemon juice to it and keep it in the fridge for half an hour.
When one tablespoon oil is heated in a wok or frying pan, add chicken pieces one by one. The oil should be hot enough to leave marks on the chicken.
Put grated onion in one tablespoon oil in a pan and keep stirring till it becomes soft. When it turns light pink, add tomato paste and stir for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add salt, turmeric, roasted crushed cumin, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and coriander powder to the onion and tomatoes and fry on a low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
Once the masala is well roasted, add kasuri methi, chicken and half a cup of water, mix well and cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
Add chaatfruit masala to the chicken. Add fresh cream or milk cream and green coriander.
Delicious Chicken Tikka Masala is ready.

Chicken Marinate
- Chicken 600 gms
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Roasted crushed cumin 1/2 tsp
- Yogurt 4 tbsp
- Lemon juice 1
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Gravy –
- Onion (grated) 2 large
- Tomatoes 3
- Coriander powder 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Turmeric 1/2
- Roasted crushed cumin 1 tsp
- Kasuri methi 2 tsp
- Chaat fruit masala 1 tsp
- 1/2 cup cream or butter
- Oil
- Green Coriander
