Chivda Namkeen is served with tea when guests come. It is made in many ways. Its sweet-salty taste is liked by everyone. It is a favorite among children. Indian people often eat it to pass time.
Let’s see Chivda Namkeen –
Put turmeric, salt and red chili powder in one tablespoon oil in a big pan or bowl. Add puffed rice (mamra) on top and stir with a spoon (mix it well). Stir for 1 minute on a low flame and then take it out.
Take oil in the same pan and add raw peanuts (kachi sing) and fry for some time, do not make it too brown, take it out when it turns light pink, now fry the raw corn chivda and long cut coconut as well, take it out immediately after frying, if it stays in oil for long time it will turn dark brown which will not taste good.
Chop thick green chillies, fry them and add curry leaves as well and then take them out for some time.
Put the puffed rice and all the fried items one on top of the other, add salt, turmeric, powdered sugar and red chilli powder and mix everything well.
