Indian Dish
Surat’s famous Khausa dish which is known as khow suey in Burma, this recipe has come from Burma, this dish is liked very much in India also, it is made in both veg and non veg form, it has boiled noodles, chicken cooked in coconut milk, fried samosa patti, fried garlic and garnished with spring onion, its taste is very good and different.
Let’s see Khausa Dish
When the water is heated well, add salt, one table spoon oil and noodles. When the noodles become soft, strain them. When the oil is heated in the frying pan or kadhai, cut the samosa sheets and fry them. If samosa sheets are not available, then roll the roti, cut it and fry it.
Cut raw coconut and grind it into small pieces. Put raw coconut and water in a mixer jar and grind it. Put it in a fine cloth or sieve and separate the coconut milk. Add one more cup of water to the remaining coconut powder and run the mixer again. Filter it in the same way and take out the remaining milk as well.
When the oil is hot, fry the cumin seeds and finely chopped onion (omelette cut) till it becomes soft. Now add ginger-garlic paste, chicken (boneless or boneless as you like), red chilli powder, salt and fry on low flame till the chicken melts.
Add roasted gram powder (grind the roasted gram in a mixer grinder) and coconut milk to the chicken and keep stirring till it comes to a boil.
Chop garlic finely and fry it. Also chop green onions finely.
To prepare the dish, first add boiled noodles , then add chicken and coconut curry, then add fried samosa patti, fried garlic and green onion on top and serve by adding lemon to enhance the taste.

- Chicken 250 gms
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
