If we talk about vegetables in the summer season, then the name of Lauki ki Sabji comes to mind first of all as this vegetable has a cooling effect, so it is eaten in summers.
Bottle gourd vegetable is also very beneficial for health, it contains a lot of nutrients and the amount of water is 80 to 90 percent, due to which our body gets vitamin iron and vitamin C.
Let’s see how to make Lauki ki Sabji –
First of all, peel and cut the bottle gourd, soak gram dal for 10 to 15 minutes before.
Take some oil in the cooker and fry the onion till it turns brown.
In a small bowl, add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder and turmeric to these spices and make a paste by adding a little water, add the spice paste to the fried onions and roast on low heat for 4 to 5 minutes. After roasting the spices, add gourd, lentils and some water and apply 3 to 4 whistles.
After the gas goes out, open the cooker and stir it well with a spoon in the bottle gourd, mix and mash the bottle gourd, take oil or desi ghee and temper it with onion and cumin. Tasty dish of loki dal is ready.

- Chana Dal 250 grams
- Onion 1 (half + half)
- salt as per taste
- Red chili powder 1/2
- Turmeric 1/4
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
