Moong Dal Ka Halwa

Let’s see the Moong Dal Ka Halwa recipe –

Wash moong dal and spread it on a cloth or in a sieve and let the water dry well. Fry the dal in a pan or kadhai on medium flame without adding oil or ghee.

After it cools down, grind it coarsely in a mixer grinder (do not grind it too finely). Take desi ghee in a pan, add semolina (rava) in it and fry it on low flame till the colour changes. Fry for 5 to 7 minutes (do not make the colour too dark).

Once the semolina (rava) is roasted, fry the ground lentils along with the semolina. Add the lentils and fry for another 15 minutes on low flame.

Add a small cup of water to the lentils and mix it. After that add milk and keep stirring on low flame. Mix it well. Now add sugar and cardamom powder and mix that too.

Cut the dry fruits of your choice, fry them in a frying pan with a teaspoon of Desi Ghee and add it to the halwa. If you feel there is less ghee then add it while frying. Keep frying till the halwa starts sticking to the bottom and the ghee becomes visible.
